Terms & Conditions


Completion of the entry form is required for all competition entrants. The following lines are required:

Complete the online entry form on or before May 15, 2021 by 11:59pm (EST).

Entrants will be contacted to set up a mutually agreed upon remote recital during the period of May 11th through June 1, 2021. The judges will use ZOOM technology, potentially Google Meeting Maker if a contestant hasn’t access to ZOOM.

It is the entrant's responsibility to have correct information on the contest application or entry will be void.


Judges will listen to the entrants and determine a numeric score value (0-10) based on musicality, technique and expression. The scores from each of the judges will then be averaged together to determine the finalists and winners.  Performances will be recorded via zoom.


Finalists’ and Winners' names, photos, and bios will be announced and posted on the Greenwich Symphony website and social media pages after 7/1. Videos created from the auditions may be used as well. Finalists will also be recognized at a future Greenwich Symphony Concert.

All finalists’ and winners’ names will be listed in an upcoming program of the Greenwich Symphony Orchestra concerts.

Contestants personal contact information will not be used or sold for any marketing or advertising program.   

Failure to meet any of the aforementioned deadlines or requirements may result in forfeiture of entry.

The Greenwich Symphony Orchestra members and its board of directors reserve the right to disqualify any participant or refuse prize money due to falsified information, behavior, or not meeting the entry requirements.


Eligibility: The GSO Teen Talent contest is open to students between the ages of 13-19 who are currently matriculated at a public or private middle school or high school within Westchester County, NY and Fairfield County, CT. This contest is subject to federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Agreement to Official Rules: Participation in the GSO Teen Talent contest constitutes full and unconditional agreement and acceptance of these official rules and the decisions of the Greenwich Symphony Teen Talent judges and the Greenwich Symphony board of directors. Winning one of the prizes is contingent upon being compliant with the Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements.

Contest Period: The contest period begins April 22nd and ends June 15th 2021. Entries must be submitted by May 15th to ensure scheduling of performance. Entries submitted after May 15th will be disqualified. Submissions will be accepted during the duration of the contest via online entry form on the Greenwich Symphony web site in the Teen Talent Contest overview page.

How to Enter: filling out the entry form on the Greenwich Symphony web site. Valid participants will be contacted by the judges to set up their virtual performance.

Prizing: Finalists will be selected based on the judges scoring of their 10-point system analyzing musicality, technique and expression.  The Greenwich Symphony will attempt to notify the potential winners via telephone or email prior to July 1, 2021.  Online announcement will be on July 1, 2021 on the Greenwich Symphony website.

Release and limitations of Liability:   By participating in the contest, entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the Greenwich Symphony members, board of directors, Campo Carter Partners and any subsidiaries, affiliates, agencies, consultants and any other companies associated with the contest, and each of their respected officers, directors, employees and representatives from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto) including but not limited to (a) any technical errors associated with the Contest, including lost, interrupted or unavailable Internet Service Provider (ISP), network, server, wireless provider or other connections availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone cellular tower or cable transmissions, lines, technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunction, failures or difficulties; (b) unauthorized human intervention in the contest (c) mechanical, network, electronic, computer, human, printing or typographical errors; (d) any other errors or connection with the contest, including without limitation, errors that may occur in the administration of the contest, the announcement of the winner, the cancellation or postponement of the event and/or the flyover, if applicable or in any Contest-related materials; or ( e) injury, death, losses or damages of any kind, to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrants participation in the Contest or acceptance, receipt or misuse of the price. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Contest and in no event shall the entrant be entitled to receive attorney’s fees. Released parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct or indirect damages.

Disputes: Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Stamford, CT.
